We are a group of adventurous guys who are going to drive three Tata Nano cars, the cheapest production cars in the world, from the Taj Mahal to Trafalgar Square. We were going to do it simply for the challenge and then we heard about a great charity IDEALS and decided to use the trip to try and raise money for them.
The IDEALS team put their lives at risk to help innocent people who are the victims of war and/or natural disasters and they don't ask for a penny or a ‘thank you’ in return.They operate on the front line to provide medial support, equipment and training. In addition IDEALS has been very active in helping with reconstruction of societies devastated by the Tsunami and the Pakistan earthquake. Check out the 'IDEALS’ website (registered charity number 1080144).Thereyou will see that they arereally fantastic people,but please don't try to sell them anything -everything they raise goes straight to where it's needed most - wasting money on administration costs and red tape tends to get them angry.In return, they promise not to employ commissioned agents in brightly coloured vests to harass you in the street or on your doorstep.

How much of my money will go to charity?
Very nearly 100% of it will be spent on the people in Disaster and War Zones where IDEALS is working.The Nano Adventurers are self-funding the trip to ensure that your money goes directly to the charity.IDEALS is run by amazing professionals who give their time completely free of charge thus ensuring that the money raised goes to those who need it most. The admistrative costs of IDEALS are always very low and in 2009 were less than £4 for each thousand pounds spent on charitable projects.
